Development prospects of granulator industry

In the face of severe energy and environmental challenges, China has formulated a medium - and long-term energy technology development strategy and development plan until 2020, guided by the comprehensive, coordinated, and sustainable scientific development concept. The formulation of this energy and environmental development strategy has also pointed out the direction for the development of plastic granulator technology in China, and it is imperative to explore new development paths for plastic granulator technology. Compared with other operational processes in industrial and agricultural production, the energy-saving and pollution prevention tasks of plastic granulators are particularly urgent.

The operation of plastic granulators involves a wide range of fields in the national economy. It is not only an indispensable basic production link for a large number of industrial and agricultural products, but also a major energy consumer in China, accounting for about 12% of the total energy consumption of the national economy. In addition, the pollution caused by the plastic granulator process is often an important source of environmental pollution in China, and the progress of plastic granulator technology is closely related to the development of the entire national economy.

Firstly, the operation of plastic granulators involves a wide range of fields, and the energy consumption of plastic granulators in China accounts for almost half of the total industrial energy consumption compared to the UK, reaching 12%

Secondly, plastic granulators also cause significant environmental pollution. Among the most widely used conventional plastic granulator equipment, more than three-quarters are hot air plastic granulators. These types of plastic granulator equipment cause serious environmental pollution, and the transformation of the coal combustion furnace in the plastic granulator system has become an important issue that urgently needs to be solved. Improving the energy efficiency of the plastic granulator process and preventing environmental pollution are complementary. Reducing energy consumption by 100 million tons of standard coal can result in a reduction of over 64 million tons of CO2 and SO2 emissions in China, with significant environmental benefits.

Therefore, when exploring new development paths for plastic granulator technology, it is necessary to comprehensively consider energy efficiency, environmental protection, and product quality in order to achieve comprehensive, coordinated, and sustainable development. To implement the development strategy of efficient and green plastic granulators, the first step is to take the path of resource-saving development, transforming the single extensive plastic granulator into a combination and intelligent plastic granulator. It is not only necessary to fundamentally transform the plastic granulator process, but also to carry out comprehensive and multi-level energy-saving technology transformation, and vigorously develop plastic granulator technology that applies renewable energy and industrial waste heat. At the government level, it is necessary to establish and improve comprehensive evaluation criteria and industry standards for plastic granulator equipment, establish macroeconomic and market regulation mechanisms, and accelerate the upgrading of plastic granulator technology.
